I was born and brought up in Chennai (INDIA), I am negotiating with a company in Bahrain, I just want to know what could be an average monthly expenses in Manama for a bachelor, for accommodation, food (non -veg)etc . I know that it would depend on a life style a person is having but disregard to that.

it would be really great if some can share web-address which could provide some real time experiences.

Also suggest me what can be an ideal Salary per month to meet the expenses and some saving could also be done.

Rent is a bit high in Bahrain now a days, but being a bachelor, you could probably have room mates, especially since there is a large Indian community in Bahrain. It has been roughly 8 years since I've been over there, so I'm sure inflation has taken its toll. My husband and I together used to earn roughly 2,000 USD and it paid for everything and we had some savings left for vacations and such. I have heard rent and food have gone up since then though, so if you have anyone you know who is currently living there, you might want to verify that.

Aside from cost of living, I think you will enjoy Bahrain. It's fairly liberal for a Middle Eastern country and the shopping is good. Also most Bahrainis speak Hindi and have respect for the Indian expat workers, which is often not always the case in some of the other gulf countries.

Good luck!
